#ibmvolunteers and Ray Day (Chief Communications Officer) had volunteered for the SCRATCH CAMP conducted by IBM Stem for Girls India (SFGI), which is IBM’s CSR program to promote technology education amongst children studying in State-run-Government secondary schools. The initiative is designed to encourage the young and the next generation to pursue #STEM as higher education and career options. The kids were educated on the basics of algorithms and then were made to explore the SCRATCH platform. They learnt to create animations and tell short stories of their life, what they love and what they want to be in future. It was an opportunity to contribute to society, a chance to learn humility, and an experience to learn aspirations of these kids and their inclination to technology .The environment was full of spark, enthusiasm & positivity. The desire for learning coming out from these students was very encouraging. There are a lot of things for students to learn outside the confines of a textbook and events like these help them explore such avenues and learn through science-fun. #ibmstemforgirls #goodtechibm #ibm #IBMSTEMforGirls #TheFutureisMine #GoodTechIBM
