Vandana Verma joined Panel Discussion 3, “Beyond the Streets: Safety at Home, Work, Public Spaces and Online,” at the 3rd National Women’s Conference 2026. The two-day conference, “Gandhiji Revisited — Women’s Safety & Security in Free India: Deepening Sensitivities,” was held September 24–25 at SPORTI in Bengaluru.
The panel discussed cyberstalking, account takeovers, identity misuse, cyber harassment, preserving evidence, and the fear of blame when reporting harm. It also considered how AI could help people recognize threats and access support while remaining safe, responsive, and respectful of those seeking help.
